We have gotten the keys to our new home!

Behind our lot, we have a huge open field as far as the eye can see. It feels like a very peaceful place that is full of greenery, fresh air and far from the city, its noisy traffic and pollution. From time to time we will see and hear cows mooing in the distance. The last couple of times we have found them grazing directly behind our home…so close that we could almost pet them. 🙂

Sometimes we will honk our car’s horn to get their attention and its funny to see their reaction. The adult cows just ignore us and keep eating their grass, but the baby calves will frantically turn their heads to try to see where the noise came from while their little ears flop all over the place. The baby calves are really cute and there are quite a few in our area.

By the time we arrived at our home, it was really too dark to take any pictures inside of the home. As we stepped outside, the sky was a very peculiar colour…a huge rainfall was seconds away.

The rain is just not letting up this week. On the bright side, we now have a huge pool in our backyard 🙂
